Abandoned shipment ng medical equipment ibinigay ng BOC sa Mindanao hospital

IBINIGAY ng Bureau of Customs-Davao sa Southern Philippines Medical Center ang mga inabandonang shipment na naglalaman ng medical equipment.

Ginawa ito ng BoC-Davao matapos na makipag-ugnayan sa kanila si presidential son at House Deputy Speaker Paolo Duterte nang malaman nito na maraming medical equipment na nakatambak lamang dahil hindi na kinuha ng nag-angkat nito.

“As we are now facing this crisis, we have to come up with immediate but effective measures so we can deliver services to our constituents. Rest assured that we are focusing our efforts into this. As such, we are coordinating with other stakeholders so we can provide the needs of our health workers. It is our job to make sure that they are fully equipped as our frontliners. We are doing a holistic approach and we need to make sure that our resources are efficiently distributed,” ani Duterte sa isang pahayag.

Ayon kay Duterte madalas ay tumatagal ng ilang buwan bago maproseso ang mga inabandonang shipment.

Ang SPMC ang pinakamalaking government hospital sa Davao.

Pinalabas ni Atty. Erastus Sandino Austria, District Collector ng Port of Davao Collection District XII ang walong 40-foot container van na naglalaman ng gurneys, wheelchairs, bed-side and operating tables, dialysis chairs, medical trolleys and crutches, pharmaceutical refrigerators at sterilizers.

Nagpasalamat naman si SPMC Medical Chief Dr. Leopoldo Vega sa donasyon.

Sinabi ni Austria na patuloy ang operasyon ng BoC-Davao at kanilang minamadali ang paglabas ng mga Personal Protective Equipment, medical equipment at donasyon para labanan ang coronavirus disease 2019.
