COVID-19 aral sa pagtrato sa wildlife-solon
DAPAT ay magsilbi umanong aral sa gobyerno ang pagkalat ng coronavirus disease 2019 at pangalagaan ang wild life kung saan pinaniniwalaan na ito ay nagmula.
Ayon kay AnaKalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor napatunayan na mayroong mga sakit mga hayop na maaaring maipasa at mapanganib sa tao.
“We have a 19-year-old law that operates not just to safeguard our ecosystems, but also to shield us from potentially destructive diseases that may be transmitted to communities on account of the rampant human abuse of wildlife,” ani Defensor, dating kalihim ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Noong 2001 pa umano na naisabatas ang Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Law na kailangan ng mai-update.
“There are several known coronaviruses circulating in wildlife that have not yet infected humans,” dagdag pa ng solon. “Whether the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19 came from a bat, a pangolin, or a civet cat, we really have to rigorously enforce the law that prohibits and criminalizes the hunting, collection, possession and transport of wildlife or their by-products and derivatives.”
Sa pag-aaral ng kilalang virologist na si Dr. Danielle Anderson ang kinatatakutang COVDI-19 ay nagmula sa panike, na kinakain bilang exotic delicacy.
Nagsagawa si Andreson, isang Australian, ng pag-aaral sa isang high-security laboratory sa Singapore.
Upang maiwasan umano na mahawa ng sakit ng hayop ang tao dapat umano ay pagandahin ang pagpapatupad sa bagong batas.
