“Manufacturers and distributors have sufficient inventories in their warehouses that can last for 2 months,” saad ng PAMPI.

“While there were initial difficulties on product movement, the situation has eased up and deliveries has since been unhampered,” saad ng PAFMIL.

“The government must be proactive in laying the national policy to sustain the continued and unhampered importation of materials, manufacture, supply and distribution of agricultural products, food supplies, and other essential products, because, inasmuch as we want this COVID-19 crisis to be over the soonest, until we are able to completely stop its transmission, the health emergency continues as well as the quarantine. With all the people locked up in the confines of their homes, the requirement for food and basic supplies continue unabated. Hence it is important that our food production/supply industry must be constant and provided the utmost support of our government,” ani Gatchalian.

“Based on the DTI Memorandum Circular, the movement of all types of cargoes, food and non-food, within, to and from the entire Luzon shall be unhampered,” dagdag pa ng solon.
