Online session ng Kamara para sa COVID-19 funding itinakda bukas

MAGSASAGAWA ng special session ang Kamara de Representantes upang bigyan ng kapangyarihan at pondo ang gobyerno sa paglaban sa coronavirus disease 2019.

Ayon kay House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez mahalaga ang mabilis na pagtugon ng Kongreso sa pangangailangan ng Ehekutibo upang maging matagumpay sa pagkontrol sa COVID-19.

“Congress will be granting President Rodrigo Duterte the authority to specifically realign government funds for food, allowances to help the affected families, boost the medical requirements of the people and protection of those who are in the frontline especially our doctors, nurses and all medical personnel,” ani Romualdez sa isang press statement.

Sinabi ni Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano na nasa P200 bilyon ang pinag-uusapang numero na ibibigay sa gobyerno upang magamit sa susunod na dalawang buwan.

“…hindi lang bilyon o tens of billions ang napag-usapan namin sa taas but hindi bababa ng P200B for the next two months to make sure po na walang Pilipinong magugutom or hindi makakakuha ng gamot,” ani Cayetano.

Magsasagawa ng sesyon ang Kamara ng alas-10 ng umaga sa Lunes.

Hindi lahat ng kongresista ay papupuntahin o makapupunta sa Kamara. Lilimitahan lamang sa 20 kongresista ang magiging present sa sesyon.

“ We endeavored to ensure that all the major parties, including partylists, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and the Minority Block are represented,” saad ng advisory sa mga kongresista. “We have explained to you in our previous messages the considerations, limitations, and challenges that bear upon this matter. Our decision is constrained by those parameters.”

 Ang mga kongresista na wala ay maaaring sumali sa online session at bumoto sa pamamagitan ng instant messaging.
