Bagong kanta ni Maine No. 1 agad sa iTunes, lumebel sa BTS
TINALBUGAN ng kanta ni Maine Mendoza ang ilang hit songs ng sikat na sikat na Korean group na BTS sa iTunes PH.
Isa na namang bonggang achievement ang nakuha ng Dubsmash Queen matapos i-release ang bago niyang single na “Parang Kailan Lang.” Ito’y collaboration ng Eat Bulaga at ng electro-pop-rock band na Gracenote.
Nag-number one agad ang “Parang Kailan Lang” sa iTunes PH’s All-Genres & Pop Charts.
Tinalo niya this time ang “My Time” ng BTS; “Here I Am Again” ni Yerin Baek (mula sa Crash Landing on You OST); “The Song for My Brother” nina Nam Hye Seung at Park Shang Hee (mula pa rin sa Crash Landing on You OST); at ang “On” ng BTS.
Sa isang panayam, nagpasalamat si Maine sa lahat ng nagtiwa sa kanya bilang singer, isa raw talaga ang pagkanta sa mga gustung-gusto niyang gawin dahil bata pa lang ay mahilig na siya sa music.
“Masaya, kasi this is something new for them. Para siyang breakup song without closure. It’s about a girl who recalls her past with her special someone and, unfortunately, hindi nag-work out,” pahayag ng TV host-actress-singer sa interview ng MYX kung saan muli siyang kinuhang VJ of the month.
Dagdag pa niya about the song, “Pero I think sa song she has finally moved on. Feeling ko parang nakita niya ang ex niya at naisip niya, ‘Anong nangyari sa atin? Parang kailan lang, okay tayo.
“Pero I didn’t write the song. Collab[oration] ito ng Gracenote and me. Eunice [Jorge] of Gracenote wrote the song,” chika pa ni Maine.
Sa tanong kung ano ang pinaka-favorite moment niya sa limang taon niya sa showbiz, “Ang hirap naman. I have nothing in particular na favorite, pero kasi lahat sa ‘kin very memorable, kasi ang dami kong firsts dito sa showbiz.
“Parang before super shy ‘ko talaga, until now naman pero ang dami kong bagong nagawa when I entered showbiz.”
Pahabol pa ni Maine, “I got to know myself more, I got to meet new people, I got to try different things, things that I never thought I would be able to try, so achievement yun for me.”
