Inflation rate bumaba

BUMAGAL ang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin noong Pebrero, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority.

Naitala ang inflation rate sa 2.6 porsyento, mas mababa sa 2.9 porsyento noong Enero. Mas mababa ito sa 3.8 porsyento na naitala noong Pebrero 2019 pero malayo sa 0.5 porsyento na naitala noong 2016.

Ang pagbaba ay resulta umano ng mas murang pagkain at non-alcoholic beverages.

Naramdaman ang mas mabagal na pagtaas ng presyo sa National Capital Region. Naitala ito sa 2.0 porsyento noong Pebrero mas mababa sa 2.7 porsyento noong Enero.

Ang pinakamababang inflation rate ay naitala sa Eastern Visayas (region VII) sa 1.9 porsyento. Ang pinakamataas na inflation rate naman ay sa Bicol Region (Region V) sa 3.6 porsyento.

Samantala, sinabi ng Gabriela Women’s Party na hindi dapat mapigilan ng mababang inflation rate ang hiling na taasan ang sahod sa walong rehiyon. —
