“I spoke to Alessandra not too long ago. She feels deeply apologetic for she couldn’t be here. She really cares about this film. She’s very, very sorry she couldn’t come,” pahayag ng direktor.
The level of talent that Alessandra brought to this is incredible.
“I think she’s a national treasure. I think she can win an Oscar one day. She’s truly one of the greats, not just here but in the world,” papuri ni Direk lead star ng kanyang “Watch List.”
Saludo rin ang American director sa iba pang artista na kasali sa kanyang pelikula, “Jake Macapagal, who is very well known in Hollywood for his work in Metro Manila, brought a level of intensity that is going to surprise people.
“Art Acuña is also a force of nature. One of the breakout performance is Micko Laurente, who plays Alessandra’s teenage son.
“I think he’s just going to absolutely break people’s hearts,” aniya pa.
I came across a photograph of a woman holding her husband, and I could not shake this image from my head.
“I woke up thinking about it, I went to bed thinking about it, and I just felt compelled to understand further what had led to that. And so, I found the journalist who arranged the story and I called her here in Manila.
“And she told me story after story of stories she’s covering and people she’s covering here, and I couldn’t believe it and understand.
“She invited me to come to Manila, and I spent couple of weeks with her and her journalist friends,” kuwento pa ng direktor.
“It’s a very human story. At its most basic, it’s about the lengths to which a mother will go to protect her children,” aniya pa.
