PBA Season 45 opening nalipat sa Marso 8

NALIPAT ang opening day ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 45 mula Marso 1 sa Marso 8.

Ito ay bilang suporta na rin sa mga hakbang ng pamahalaan kontra 2019 novel coronavirus (nCoV).

Mananatiling opening day venue ang Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City habang ang opening game sa pagitan ng five-time Philippine Cup champion San Miguel Beermen at Magnolia Hotshots ay tuloy din.

Iniurong din ng PBA ang season opener ng PBA D-League mula Pebrero 13 tungo sa Marso 2 na gaganapin sa Paco Arena, Maynila.

“It’s a preventive measure against nCoV. It’s now in place and will be implemented. The safety of our fans, teams, players and officials remain to be our utmost priority,” sabi ni PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.

Bago ang opening game ay gaganapin muna ang Season 44 Leo Awards na katatampukan ng pagkilala sa season Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Si statistical race winner at San Miguel Beer center June Mar Fajardo ang pinapaboran na magwagi ng kanyang ikaanim na MVP award.

Kabilang naman sina CJ Perez ng Columbian Dyip, Christian Standhardinger ng NorthPort Batang Pier at Jayson Castro ng TNT KaTropa sa mga season MVP contender.
