Ikalawang kaso ng nCoV kinumpirma ni Duque, pasyente nasawi nitong Sabado
KINUMPIRMA ni Health Secretary ang ikalawang kaso ng novel coronavirus sa bansa kung saan nasawi ang pasyente na isang Chinese national nitong Sabado.
Sa isang briefing, sinabi ni Duque na namatay ang 44-anyos na lalaking Chinese sa San Lazaro Hospital sa Sta. Cruz, Maynila dahil sa pneumonia matapos makaranas ng lagnat, ubo at sore throat.
“Over the course of the patient’s admission, he developed severe pneumonia. In his last few days, the patient was stable and showed signs of improvement,” sabi ni Duque.
“However, the condition of the patient deteriorated within the last 24 hours resulting in his demise. We are currently working with the Chinese Embassy to ensure the dignified management of the remains according to national and international standards to contain the disease,” ayon pa kay Duque.
Sinabi ng World Health Organisation (WHO) na ito ang unang naiulat na pagkamatay dahil sa nCoV sa labas ng China.
Kasama ang Tsinoy ng 38-anyos na babaeng Chinese na naunang inihayag bilang unang kaso ng nCoV sa bansa.
Kapwa dumating ang dalawa sa Pilipinas noong Enero 21.
Samantala, sinabi ni Duque na 24 sa patients under investigation (PUIs) ang nagnegatibo na sa coronavirus bases sa Pebrero 1 na datos.
“We are continuously recalibrating our plans and efforts as situation develops. We are providing the public with constant updates and advisories as frequently as possible,” Duque said, while reiterating to the public to follow their advisories and refrain from sharing unverified information,” ayon pa kay Duque.
