Pacquiao, No. 8 highest paid athlete in the world ngayong dekada

PASOK si reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao sa Top 10 ng highest-paid athletes sa mundo ngayong patapos na dekada.

Si Pacquiao ay nasa ikawalong puwesto sa highest-paid athletes in the world ng dekada 2010-2019.

Ayon sa Forbes magazine/Forbes.com si Pacquiao ay kumita ng US$435 milyon sa huling sampung taon.

Sinabi pa ng Forbes na ang Filipino boxing legend at multi-division world champion ay nakalikom ng 20 million buys at US$1.3 bilyon na kita mula sa 25 pay-per-view matches .

Sa patapos na dekada ay sumabak si Pacquiao sa ilang maituturing na blockbuster fight kabilang na ang laban kina Juan Manuel Marquez, Keith Thurman, Timothy Bradley, Shane Mosley at Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Ang walang talo na si Mayweather Jr., na nakaharap si Pacquiao noong Mayo 2015, ang kinilala bilang highest-paid athlete of the decade matapos kumita ng US$915 milyon.

Ang iba pang atleta na nakapasok sa top 10 ay sina soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo ($800 milyon) at Lionel Messi ($750 milyon), ang mga basketball player na sina Kevin Durant ($425 milyon) at LeBron James ($680 milyon), ang mga golfer na sina Tiger Woods ($615 milyon) at Phil Mickelson ($480 milyon), race car driver Lewis Hamilton ($400 milyon) at tennis star Roger Federer ($640 milyon).
