Mobile Legends, card games bawal during office hours

NAKATANGGAP tayo recently ng text mula sa ating reader na nagtatanong kung bawal ba maglaro ng baraha sa opisina.

Kaya here’s our take: This is to remind employees na bawal talaga ang paglaro ng Mobile Legends, baraha at iba’t ibang online games during working hours.

This is also a reminder sa mga boss at mga Human Resource manager to come up with workplace policy about playing online games during working hours using office wifi, computers and company-issued mobile phones.

To avoid misunderstanding between management and employees about this issue, the human resource should issue a company memorandum detailing the company policy regarding this very common practice nowadays.

The written policy should be routed to all employees or the memorandum be displayed on company bulletin boards, published in group chat and messenger platform as reference.

Some company for example allows their employees to play online games during the one-hour lunch break. Others, completely disallow playing during work hours and while within the work premises.

Kung wala kasing written policy na ibinigay sa mga employee, enterprises will have difficulty disciplining the workforce. The written and acknowledged workplace policy is used as the basis by labor officials to determine lawful and unlawful suspension or dismissal of employees.

Kung walang policy, work discipline would be scanty. It is also difficult to suspend or dismiss erring employees without written company policy about online games.
