Neocolours may reunion sa ‘Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Banda’ makalipas ang 32 years

NEOCOLOURS

The OPM band is finally having their aptly-titled reunion concert “Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Banda” na magaganap sa Music Museum sa Nov. 16.

The band also boasts of having iconic collaborations with some of OPM’s biggest names like Sharon Cuneta, Jose Mari Chan, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Janno Gibbs, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez.

It’s always good to reconnect with former bandmates, who have been like my brothers in this industry. More so for a band that has opened so many doors for us.”

Having launched a new song just last year, titled “Giliw,” the legendary band has always been passionate in continuing their craft and love for OPM.

“Most of us are still very active in the music industry as tv and concert music directors, record producers and executives, session artists, arrangers. Music continues to connect us even outside of the band,” dagdag pa ni Querido tungkol sa pahihiwa-hiwalay ng kanilang grupo.

And we are so grateful to all the artists na nagko-cover ng songs namin kasi nabibigyan talaga ng buhay.

Now there is an explosion of artists, there’s an explosion of bands. The OPM scene is hyped now. A lot of songs are streamed online.”

Dugtong pa ni Ito, “Hindi alam ng mga bata that we are the original performer of the song. Kahit na hindi sila familiar, that’s natural and that’s given. Masaya pa rin kami, hindi namin akalain when we started way back in 1986 na kakantahin pa rin siya.

“We have the digital platforms now, it’s very revolutionary, the young musicians kahit hindi pa sila professional, it’s easy for them to create songs. They can create music and put it on available platforms,” aniya pa.

For what it’s worth, Neocolours’ fans will definitely be having a good trip down the memory lane in “Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Banda,” na ididirek ni Frank Lloyd Mamaril with guests Jett Pangan, Nicole Asensio at Jamie Rivera.
