Alfred Vargas naboldyak sa ‘no homework’ bill: Parang ginawang kriminal ang teacher
QUEZON City Rep. Alfred Vargas caught the collective ire of netizens when he proposed HB 3883 which limits to weekends the giving of homeworks to students.
“In addition, a few landmark studies have suggested that homework does impact upon family life, in some cases in a negative way… yet in general, it is positively associated with academic achievement,” Vargas said in a report.
With his proposed bill, a teacher will be fined P50,000 or face imprisonment for one to two years if she/he will violate the no-homework policy.
With that, Cong. Vargas was lambasted left and right by netizens who find his proposed bill quite ridiculous.
“Pede yung may sense naman na batas? Ung pedeng makatulong sa dagdag kaalaman ng mga estudyante, ano kaya congressman Vargas? Hindi yung pagmumultahin mo pa mga guro. Hindi ata masaya buhay estudyante nito noon? Wake up cong.”
“Cong. Vargas, I think you have a very misplaced idea of education and learning. Encouraging mediocrity among students.”
“Congressman, salamat sa batas na yan tiyak na ang mga mag aaral sa Pinas ay mga mangmang at irresponsible. kaya habang tumatagal bumababa antas ng edukasyon natin dahil sa mga huhung isipan nyo.”
“Congressman Alfred I thought ur one of those public servant looking and dreaming for the filipino youth to be a better member of our society.with this bill your trying to pass on the congress i think your making the next generation same like what you think.
“Or should i say low thinking ability coz ur dying the dream of dr rizal which is making every youth as a hope of our nation.”
“Multa at kulong? Grabe parang kriminal lang ang peg nakakabad trip itong si Vargas.”
“Kaming mga guro ang direktang may salamuha sa mga estudyante at hindi ikaw o/at ‘yung kasama mong nagpanukala!”
“Huh! Talagang may multa at kulong na involved? Hindi na dapat sakupin pa ng kongreso ang mga ganyang issue. Dapat lang bigyan ng assignment araw-araw ang mga estudyante, masyado nyong bine-baby ang mga kabataan ngayon.”
“Cong. Vargas! Kulang nalang ho tanggalan nyo ng lisensya ang mga guro! Bat hindi nyo pa ho na isip yon? Kung ikukulong nyo or papatawan ng napakalaking multa? pambihira din naisip nyo. sabagay kung walang gagawa, walang mapaparusahan.”
