300 lumahok sa Indigenous Peoples Games sa Palawan

Mahigit 300 miyembro ng iba’t ibang tribo mula sa 12 munisipyo sa Palawan ang nagpamalas ng angking husay sa mga tradisyunal na mga laro sa ginanap na Indigenous Peoples Games nitong weekend sa Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex, Puerto Princesa City.

Nakopo ng municipality of Rizal ang dalawang ginto sa kadang-kadang at casing para manguna sa mga nagwagi sa IP Games na suportado ng iba’t ibang ahensiya na nangagala sa Indigenous People.

Naitala nina Ricky Balucos, Prince Claro Dela Cruz at Rady Padriquelan ang bilis na 43 segundo para pagbidahan ang 18-under men’s category sa Kadang-Kadang sa kawayan.

Namayani naman sa Kadang Kadang sa Bao 18-under female ang Team Narra nina Ivy Grace Talbo, Maria Cristina Usao at Rochelle Sernal sa tyempong isang minuto at limang segundo.

Naiuwi naman ng Team Bataraza nina Ranel Bahukan, Joseph Mastare at Rowel Bahukan ang ginton sa Kadang Kadang sa Bamboo 19-above men’s class.

Ang Kadang kadang sa bao 19 above female winner ay Team Quezon nina Sarifa Valera, Jennifer Daco at Syren Lucio.

Nakiisa rin sa torneo ang local government units ng Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Brooke’s Point, Sofronio Española, Rizal, Balabac, Roxas, Taytay, El Nido, Busuan, Coron, Araceli at Puerto Princesa City.

Itinataguyod ang Palaro ng National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Department of Tourism (DOT), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Education (DepEd), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), at various local government units (LGUs).

Ito ang ikalimang pagkakataon na isinagawa ng Philippine Sports Commission ang IP Games.
