PH fishing boat sinalpok ng Chinese vessel sa West Philippine Sea

LUMUBOG ang isang bangkang pangisda matapos salpukin ng Chinese vessel sa West Philippine Sea, sabi ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Miyerkules.

Inulat ng mga Pilipinong mangingisda ang insidente na naganap sa Recto Bank nitong Linggo ng gabi, sabi ni Lorenzana sa isang kalatas.

Naka-angkla ang F/B Gimver 1 nang salpukin ng Chinese fishing vessel, ayon sa defense chief.

Matapos iyo’y umalis ang Chinese vessel at iniwan ang 22 tripulante ng Gimver 1 sa laot, aniya.

“We condemn in the strongest terms the cowardly action of the Chinese fishing vessel and its crew for abandoning the Filipino crew. This is not the expected action from a responsible and friendly people,” ani Lorenzana.

Humingi ang defense chief ng pormal na imbestigasyon sa insidente, at “diplomatic steps” para di na maulit ang mga ganoong pangyayari.

Pinasalamatan naman ni Lorenzana ang kapitan at crew ng isang Vietnamese vessel, na sumagip sa 22 mangingisdang Pilipino at nakipag-ugnayan sa Armed Forces Western Command.

Inatasan na ang BRP Ramon Alcaraz, na nagsasagawa ng maritime patrol doon, na tumulong sa pagrekober sa F/B Gimver 1 at mga sakay nito.
