HANDA na umano ang mga guro sa pampublikong paaralan sa pagsasagawa ng eleksyon sa Lunes.
Ayon kay Department of Education Usec. Nepomuceno Malaluan aabot sa 230,000 guro ang tutulong sa Commission on Elections sa pagsasagawa ng halalan.
“We are all systems go. About 36,000 schools are polling centers for these elections, we are all systems go. Hindi lang DepEd ang involved dito, PNP for security and even AFP is involved in maintaining peace and order,” ani Malaluan sa panayam matapos ang pagdinig ng 2020 budget proposal ng DepEd.
Magtatayo rin ang DepEd ng Election monitoring task forces at Command Centers sa central, region, division, at district offices.
Alinsunod sa Election Service Reform Act ang mga uupo bilang Board of Election Inspectors ay tatanggap ng honorarium mula sa Commission on Elections: P6,000 para sa chairman, P5,000 sa miyembro ng Electoral Boards, P4,000 sa Department of Education Supervisor Official at P2,000 sa Support Staff.
