Serye ng aftershock sa Surigao maaaring magdulot ng mas malakas na lindol
MAAARI umanong magresulta sa mas malakas na lindol ang serye ng aftershock na dulot ng magnitude 5.5 na lindol sa Surigao del Norte.
Ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology dalawa umabot na sa 728 aftershock na may lakas na magnitude 1.5 hanggang 5.5 ang naitala sa mula 1:26 ng hapon noong Abril 26—ang araw ng maramdaman ang magnitude 5.5 lindol, hanggang alas-5 ng umaga noong Abril 30.
“These events are associated with the ongoing subduction of the Philippine Sea Plate along the Philippine Trench.”
Ang mga aftershock na ito ay:
1.Maaari umanong magpatuloy at humina hanggang sa mawala sa mga susunod na araw, o
2. Magresulta sa mas malakas na lindol
“DOST-PHIVOLCS is continuously monitoring as earthquakes may continue to occur in the next several days. People in the area should take preparedness measures, and be guided by verified information.”
