Updated: Magnitude 6.1 lindol naramdaman sa MM, iba pang karatig na probinsya

NIYANIG ng magnitude 6.1 lindol ang Zambales kahapon ng hapon at naramdaman ang epekto nito sa Metro Manila at mga karatig probinsya.

Ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ang epicenter ng lindol ay 18 kilometro sa silangan ng Castillejos, Zambales alas-5:11 ng hapon.

May lalim itong 12 kilometro at sanhi ng paggalaw ng tectonic plate.
Naramdaman ang Intensity V sa San Felipe, Zambales; Malolos at Obando sa Bulacan; Quezon City; Lipa, Batangas; Manila City; Abucay, Bataan; Valenzuela City; Magalang, Pampanga, at Angeles City.
Intensity IV naman sa Pasig City; Makati City; Caloocan City; Meycauayan, San Ildefonso at San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; Floridablanca, Pampanga; Villasis, Pangasinan; Tagaytay City; Villasis, Pangasinan; Baguio City; Marikina City; Las Pinas City; Quezon City; San Juan City; Muntinlupa City; Gapan City; Cabanatuan
City; Tagaytay City.

Intensity III naman sa Dasmarinas, Indang at Gen. Trias sa Cavite; Lucban, Quezon; Cabanatuan City; Palayan City; Gapan City; Santo Domingo at Talavera sa Nueva Ecija, Mauban, Quezon; Talisay, Batangas; Guagua, Pampanga, at Olongapo City.

Intensity II sa Baler, Aurora; Lucena City; Dolores at Lucban sa Quezon; Dagupan City; Daet, Camarines Norte.
Intensity I sa Guinayangan, Quezon; Calatagan, Batangas; Magalang, Pampanga; at Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

Inihinto rin ang operasyon ng Metro Rail Transit 3 upang magsagawa ng pagsusuri sa istruktura para matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga pasahero.

“Our teams are on site to assess all facilities and systems for the effects of the earthquake. We want to ensure the integrity of our structures post-quake before allowing public use,” saad ng pahayag ng DoTr-MRT3.
