NAKATAKDANG pulungin ngayong gabi ni Pangulong Duterte ang mga lider ng Kamara at Senado na kasalukuyang nagbabangayan hinggil sa umano’y pork barrel sa panukalang 2019 budget.
Sa briefing, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Panelo na umaasa si Duterte na maayos ang gusot sa ipinatawag na pagpupulong.
“Well it could mean that way. It could also mean that you settle your differences together so that we can have a new budget. I understand they will be having meeting tonight, maybe that’s the agenda where they have to thresh out whatever differences they have,” sabi ni Panelo.
“You know the style of the President—he listens. He listens and let the protagonists settle among themselves. Kumbaga, moderator lang siya,” dagdag niya.
Tiniyak din ng opisyal na hindi makikiusap si Duterte sa mga senador.
“As I said, parang moderator lang siya, makikinig lang iyon. Baka he just—I’m just speculating-—he may have brought the two together just so they can talk and discuss,” ayon pa sa opisyal.
Matatandaang nagpapalitan ng alegasyon ang mga senador at kongresista sa mga isiningit na pondo sa inaprubahang budget para sa 2019.
