2019 Araw ng Dabaw Chess Festival susulong sa Marso 16-18
SUSULONG na ang 2019 Araw ng Dabaw Chess Festival sa Marso 16 hanggang 18 na gaganapin sa Gaisano Grand Citigate sa Davao City.
Ayon kay tournament director International Arbiter James Infiesto ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) ang magkakampeon sa Rapid Open at Standard Open division ng torneo ay tatanggap ng P5,000 at tropeo.
Ang second, third, fourth at fifth placer ay magbubulsa ng P2,500, P1,500, P1,000 at P750, ayon sa pagkakasunod habang ang sixth hanggang 10th placer ay tatanggap naman ng tig-P500.
Ang top five sa Blitz Open pati na ang mga top three female player sa tatlong dibisyon — Rapid Open, Standard Open at Blitz Open — ay tatanggap din ng cash prize.
Sinabi pa ni Infiesto na ang Rapid and Blitz Open ay magsisilbing qualifying event para sa Southeast Asian Games habang ang Standard Open ay magiging qualifying para sa National Team.
Isasagawa rin ang 2019 National Youth and Schools Chess Championships kasabay ng 2019 Araw ng Dabaw Chess Festival.
Ang 2019 National Youth and Schools Chess Championships ay qualifying event para sa Asian Schools Chess Championships 2019 na gaganapin Hunyo 19 hanggang 29 sa Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Ang tatlong araw na 2019 Araw ng Dabaw Chess Festival ay suportado ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Davao City, Philippine Sports Commission at NCFP.
