Anti-palo bill hindi pa rin isusuko kahit na-veto na

NEVER say die ang peg ng isa sa mga may-akda ng anti-palo bill na ibinasura ni Pangulong Duterte.

Ayon kay Bagong Henerasyon Rep. Bernadette Herrera-Dy, may-akda ng Positive and Non-Violent Discipline of Children bill, hindi pa rin siya nawawalan ng pag-asa na maisasabatas ito.

Hihilingin umano niya na makausap si Pangulong Duterte upang malaman ang panig nito kung ano ang ayaw niya sa panukala.

“I am deeply saddened by the presidential veto of the Positive Discipline Bill. We were so close. We were in the final lap. Then we had this hurdle the bill was powerless to surmount,” ani Dy.

Sinabi ni Dy na maaari pa ring bawiin ni Duterte ang kanyang pag-veto sa panukala.

Inamin naman ni Dy na mahihirapan na makakuha ng 2/3 boto ng Kongreso upang mapawalang-bisa ang veto ng Pangulo lalo ngayon na walang sesyon.

“This is why I will try to make both an emotional and a well-reasoned appeal to ask President Duterte to reconsider. This is the only option I have at this time and I am hoping it will be enough. At least I tried.”

Kung tuluyan ng mababasura ay muli umano niyang ihahain ang panukala sa susunod na Kongreso kung siya ay muling mananalo.
