ISA umanong “rising star” sa politika si presidential daughter at Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, ayon kay House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Pero mas makabubuti umano kung ang pag-uusapan muna ngayon ay ang 2019 elections at hindi muna ang 2022 presidential polls.
“Let me just say [that] she is a rising star in Philippine politics, even Sen. Ping Lacson saw that. But let’s take it one election at a time… and let us talk about 2022 later on,” ani Arroyo.
Idinagdag niya na ayon sa kasaysayan ng politika sa bansa, sumisikat ang mga anak ng naging presidente.
“Let me just put it this way: historically, children of presidents do rise,” ani Arroyo, na anak ni Pangulong Diosdado Macapagal.
Ang pinalitan ni Pangulong Duterte na si Pangulong Benigno Simeon Aquino III ay anak naman ni dating Pangulong Cory Aquino.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Duterte-Carpio na hindi pa siya nakagdedesisyon kung tatakbo siya sa pagkapangulo sa 2012.
