BINISITA na ng mga opisyal ng Department of Transportation ang tunnel boring machine na gagamitin sa paghuhukay ng subway na isa sa nakikitang solusyon sa trapik ng Kamaynilaan.

Pumunta si Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade kasama ng iba pang opisyal sa JIMT Tsurumi Factory sa Tokyo, Japan.

Ang JIM Technology Corporation ay pangunahing kompanya na gumagawa tunnel boring machines sa Japan.

Sa Pebrero 27 itinakda ang ground breaking ng Metro Manila Subway.
