Endorsement ni Mayor Baldo binawi ng Lakas-CMD

BINAWI ng Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats ang pag-endorso nito kay Daraga, Albay Mayor Carlwyn Baldo na itinuturong mastermind sa pagpatay kay Ako Bicol Rep. Rodel Batocabe.

Sumulat na ang Lakas-CMD sa Law Department ng Commission on Elections upang ipagbigay-alam ang pagbawi nito sa Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance at pagsuporta kay Baldo.

“Please be informed that Lakas-CMD is revoking the CONA issued to Mr. Baldo. Hence, Mayor Baldo is no longer the official candidate of Lakas-CMD for the position of Mayor of Daraga,” saad ng sulat ni Atty. Bautista Corpin, Jr., executive director ng Lakas-CMD kay Comelec Law Department Director Maria Norina Casingal.

Nagpulong ang mga opisyal ng Lakas-CMD matapos na tukuyin ng Philippine National Police si Baldo na utak sa pagpatay kay Batocabe na kalaban nito sa 2019 mayoralty race.

“Regretfully, Mayor Baldo has been nominated as the official candidate of LAKAS-CMD for Mayor of Daraga, Albay. After deliberations, LAKAS-CMD has decided to revoke the nomination of Mayor Baldo as the official candidate of the party.”

Iginiit ng Lakas-CMD na nananatili ang pakikiisa nito upang maging malinis at maayos ang halalan.

“Thus, LAKAS-CMD strongly condemns the killings of AKO-BICOL party-list Representative Rodel Batocabe and his security aide. Violence in any form and for whatever reason has no place in our democratic institutions,” saad ng pahayag ng Lakas-CMD.
