TINAPOS ng National University ang dalawang sunod na panalo ng University of Santo Tomas sa 71-67 panalo kagabi sa 76th UAAP men’s basketball tournament sa Araneta Coliseum.

Gumawa si Parks ng 20 puntos, 6 rebounds, 6 assists at tig-dalawang steals at blocks habang si Emmanuel Mbe ay mayroong 17 puntos at 11 boards para agad na makabangon ang Bulldogs mula sa pagkatalo sa University of the East Red Warriors sa huling laro para sa 2-1 karta.

Ininda naman ng Tigers ang pagkawala dahil sa shoulder injury ni Jeric Teng sa first half para makatabla ang NU, La Salle at host Adamson University sa ikalawang puwesto.

Nasaktan ang balikat ni Teng matapos magkabanggan sila ni Jeoffrey Javillonar. Minalas din na natawagan si Karim Abdul ng ikaapat na foul sa ikatlong yugto para lalo pang mabawasan ng puwersa si UST coach Alfredo Jarencio.

Sinakyan naman ng Adamson ang 19 puntos sa first half ni Roider Cabrera tungo sa 78-71 panalo sa UE sa unang laro. May limang tres pa si Cabrera sa unang 20 minuto ng bakbakan para ilayo ang tropa ni Adamson coach Leo Austria sa  50-25 sa halftime.Si Ingrid Sewa ay nagdagdag ng 15 puntos, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks at 1 steal.
