IBINASURA ng Malolos Regional Trial Court Branch 15 ang motion for reconsideration na inihain ng kampo ni Major General Jovito Palparan, matapos na mapatunayang guilty sa kasong kidnapping at serious illegal detention kaugnay ng pagkawala ng dalawang estudyante ng University of the Philippines (UP) na sina Sherlyn Cadapan at Karen Empeno noong 2006.
“The court finds Palparan’s appeal offering no justification to compel this court to modify or reverse the assailed decision dated September 17, 2018,” sabi ng desisyon na inilabas ni Malolos RTC judge Alexander Tamayo.
“Finding no additional and/or new points raised to outweigh the settled position of the court, the Motion for Reconsideration, as well as the Supplemental Motion, is denied for lack of merit,” dagdag ni Tamayo.
Bukod kay Palparan, napatuayan ding guilty sina Lt. Col. Felipe Anotado, Jr. at Staff Sgt. Edgardo Osorio.
