ITINANGGI ng Palasyo na pag-eendorso ang ginawa ni Pangulong Duterte si Freddie Aguilar nang ipanawagan niya na iboto ang singer sa 2019 election.
Sa kanyang briefing, iginiit ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na hindi premature campaigning ang ginawa ni Duterte.
“Hindi naman. He was just expressing his opinion on the qualification of the person. Hindi naman niya sinabing iboto ninyo ito. Ang sinasabi niya lang, the messages of the songs of Freddie Aguilar have social content at magaling siya, brilliant,” sabi niya.
Sa kanyang talumpati noong Lunes, nanawagan si Duterte na ibigay na kay Aguilar ang isa sa 12 boto para sa pagkasenador.
“E di wala siyang sinabing iboto ninyo iyan sa eleksyon,” giit muli ni Panelo.
Sa ilalim ng batas ay maaaring sampahan ng premature campaigning si Duterte dahil hindi pa nagsimula ang kampanya.
“He may not be referring to an election. He may be referring to you people vote for this man as an outstanding man,” palusot pa ni Panelo.
