Lacson umaasang mababawasan ang kotong cops dahil sa pay hike
SINABI ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson na umaasa siyang mababawasan na ang mga kotong cops sa implementasyon ng taas-sweldo para sa mga pulis simula Enero 2019.
“I have high hopes that it will materialize […] with all the benefits and unprecedented salary hike accorded to the military and uniformed personnel,” sabi ni Lacson sa isang pahayag.
Idinagdag ni Lacson na dapat ay magpokus ang mga pulis sa pagpoprotekta sa mga mamamayan at ang kampanya kontra mga kriminal.
“Thanks to the strong political will of President Rodrigo Duterte who almost single-handedly pushed for the same, there is every reason for right-thinking police officers to love and secure their profession, not to mention to be motivated enough to show a debt of gratitude to their Commander-in-Chief who made an almost impossible legislation to pass,” dagdag ni Lacson.
Nauna nang inaprubahan ang isang joint resolution kung saan itinaas sa 100 porsiyento ang sweldo ng isang police officer 1 sa P29,668 mula sa P14,834.
Hindi naman ito magiging 100 porsiyento para mas mataas na ranggo.
“That is why it is deplorable, to say the least, when we hear of ranking military and police officers who abuse their positions, steal government funds, and even the meal allowances of their men,” dagdag ni Lacson.
