Jona humakot ng parangal sa Awit Awards; KZ, Gloc9, Moira wagi din

HUMAKOT ng parangal si Jonaline Viray, na mas kilala sa screen name na Jona, sa katatapos lang na 31st Awit Awards na ginanap kagabi sa New Frontier Theater, Araneta Center Cubao.

Ilan sa mga award ni Jona ay Favorite Collaboration of the Year kasama ang BoyBandPH, Most Downloaded Artist, Most Streamed Artist, Most Downloaded Song, Most Streamed Song, at Best Selling Album of the Year para sa kanyang self-titled album, ‘Jona.’

Sa pagkapanalo, walang humpay na pinasalamatan ni Jona ang producers, songwriters, fans, pamilya, ang mga miyembro ng BoyBandPH, lahat ng tao sa likod ng album, at ang Asia Songbird Regine Velasquez na aniya’y hindi siya iniwan mula nang magsimula sa singing talent show na Pinoy Pop Superstar sa GMA Network.

Nakuha naman ni Moira dela Torre winning Best Song Written for Movie/TV/Stage Play for her song Saglit, Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist and Fave Song of the Year sa kanyang hit single na Titibo-tibo.

KZ Tandingan, on the other hand, won one of the major awards, Album of the Year with Soul Supremacy habang nakuha naman ni Gloc9 ang award bilang Song of the Year sa kantang TRPKNNMN.

Naiuwi naman ng indie band gone mainstream na IV of Spades ang Record of the Year sa kanta nilang Hey Barbara. Sila din ang nag-uwi ng Music Video of the Year, Favorite Group Artist, at Best Performance by a Group Recording artist.

Sa gabi ng parangal, nag-perform din ang ilan sa mga tanyag na artist sa industriya ng OPM gaya nina Shanti Dope, Gloc 9, Juan Karlos Labajo, Leanne and Naara, IV of Spades, at Daarren Espanto.

Hiyawan naman ang mga fans ng parangalan si Ian Veneracion bilang Favorite New Male Artist. Masigabo din ang palakpakan ng umakyat din ng Stage si Darren para kunin ang award nya bilang Favorite Male Artist.

Ang Awit Awards ay ginaganap taon-taon sa pamumuno ng Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) para kilalanin ang mga natatanging musika at musikero’t musikera sa industriya ng OPM.
