NADAKIP ng mga tropa ng pamahalaan ang isang lider ng New People’s Army na wanted para sa sari-saring krimen, sa Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, iniulat ng militar Sabado.
Naaresto ng mga sundalo’t pulis si Joebert “Allan” Herrera sa isang joint law enforcement operation, sabi ni 2Lt. Mae Rio Sanchez, civil-military operations officer ng Army 15th Infantry Battalion.
Isinagawa ng mga miyembro ng 15th IB at Sipalay City Police ang operasyon sa Brgy. Camindangan, dakong alas-4 ng hapon Huwebes.
Si Herrera, 36, ay isang platoon leader ng NPA Southwest Front, ani Sanchez.
Sa tala ng pulisya, nabatid na si Herrera ay may mga nakabinbing warrant of arrest para sa murder, multiple frustrated murder, at arson, aniya.
Naisakatuparan ang pag-aresto sa pamamagitan ng koordinasyon sa pagitan ng mga ahensiyang panseguridad at kooperasyon ng mga residente, sabi ni Lt. Col. Patricio Tomales, commander ng 15th IB.
“In coordination with the police, there will be more arrests here in Negros. With the active help of the local populace, the CPP-NPA terrorists will be suppressed and defeated,” sabi pa ni Tomales.
