SINAMPAHAN ng kasong sedition o inciting to coup d’ etat si Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV ni Labor Undersecretary Jacinto “Jing” Paras sa Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office nitong Biyernes.
Sinabi ni Paras na batay ang kanyang reklamo sa pahayag sa mga reporter ni Trillanes laban kay Pangulong Duterte noong Setyembre 4, 2018.
Iginiit ni Paras na malinaw na nagkaroon ng paglabag si Trillanes.
Ayon pa kay Paras, ang pahayag ni Trillanes laban sa Pangulo ay hindi na sakop ng freedom of expression.
“Trillanes intemperate use of profane, foul, vile, seditious words or language, and resort to scurrilous libels against the President or the government, his ardent call on the military and the police to disobey the order of the latter, as well as his stealthy proposal to he armed forces to launch a coup… constitute the crimes of inciding to sedition and proposal to commit coup d’etat.”, ayon pa sa nakasaad na reklamo ni Paras.
