PCCL sinuportahan ng PSC

MAGTUTULONG-tulong ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) para mapalakas ang National Collegiate Championships (NCC) bilang isa sa mga “program recognizing excellence of student athletes in basketball.”

Nakasama mismo ni PSC Chairman William “Butch” Ramirez sina PCCL organizer Rey Gamboa at Atty. Boy De Borja at mga commissioners nito na sina Charles Maxey, Celia Kiram at Arnold Agustin sa paglulunsad sa programa na kabilang na ngayon sa mga grassroots sports development program ng ahensiya ng gobyerno sa sports.

“Tutulong na lamang kami sa mga liga sa bansa. Ayaw namin ng politika kasi nasa sports naman kami kaya ibibigay na lamang namin ang tulong na dapat ibigay sa mga liga at hayaan namin sila na mag-produce at mag-develop ng mga batang atleta,” sabi ni Ramirez.

“This partnership will strengthen the stature of the NCC as the unified program in search for the “One National Collegiate Champion in basketball,” sabi pa ni Ramirez.

Bilang simbolo ng pagpapareha ay ipinahayag din sa press conference Miyerkules sa PSC Conference Room na isang kakaibang tropeo ang ipagkakaloob bilang pagkilala at gantimpala sa magwawagi ng prestihiyosong President’s Cup for Basketball sa tatanghaling national champion na mula mismo kay Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Maliban pa ito sa scholarship grants at sports equipment na ibibigay sa top school teams sa torneo.

Ikinatuwa naman ni PCCL chairman Reynaldo Gamboa ang pagtulong ng buong liderato ng PSC sa pagbibigay tulong nito sa mga sports organizations tulad ng PCCL para mapalawak ang mga sports programs at maengganyo ang mga liga para sa ikauunlad ng disiplina, teamwork at grassroots sports development.
