BIKTIMA rin pala ng pang-aabuso ang anak nina Janice de Belen at John Estrada na si Inah de Belen. Ito ang inamin ng dalaga nang nakachikahan ng press sa mediacon ng seryeng Ika-5 Utos.
“Verbally and emotionally abused girlfriend” daw si Inah noon. At hindi lang once kundi twice niya itong na-experience sa dalawa niyang ex-boyfriend. Kaya nga nakaka-relate talaga siya sa role niya sa Ika-5 Utos bilang si Joanna, ang battered girlfriend ni Carlo, na ginagampanan ng boyfriend niya in real life na si Jake Vargas.
“To be honest, kaya medyo nag-struggle din ako sa role na ito kasi the feeling and the situation is very similar to me. Not physical, no, no, no, ano lang, emotional. A former boyfriend,” pag-amin ni Inah. Hindi naman daw siya sinasaktan nang pisikal, “Wala, minumura lang.” Dagdag niya,“Never pa naman akong nakaranas ng physical but I guess both, masakit pa rin.”
Limang taon nagtiis si Inah sa pang-aabuso ng una niyang boyfriend habang anim na buwan lang tumagal ang relasyon nila ng ikalawa niyang dyowa na parehong non-showbiz.
Dahil dito, dumanas din siya ng depression, “Oo naman, oo, na-depress talaga, I mean anxiety and depression. Oh my God! I can’t believe this! My mom (Janice) is going to read this, my gosh! Ngayon lang niya malalaman, so sorry mom, I didn’t tell you.”
“But siyempre I think I owe it to myself, to really say what happened to me. Siguro you know, this wasn’t super the right way pero I want to speak also for people who have experienced this.
“Kasi it doesn’t just happen to normal people or people who are not in showbiz, it happens to people in showbiz also. And if I can use this as a platform, to say na naranasan ko ‘to,” ani Inah.
Inamin din ng dalaga na umabot din siya sa punto na gusto na niyang saktan ang sarili, “Naisip ko, pero hindi ko ginawa. Siyempre naisip ko yun pero thank God, never ko naisip na
gawin. Hindi ko ginawa.
“And after that whole phase kasi na-realize ko na I still have my family, and I’m young, there’s so much more to life than that. And siyempre, I thought of my mom also, na parang my mom’s such a strong person, I wanna be like my mom,” paliwanag pa ng GF ni Jake.
Feeling ni Inah namana niya sa kanyang ina ang pagiging matapang at palaban. And thankful siya na dumating sa buhay niya si Jake na nagmamahal at nagpoproteka sa kanya. Sa serye lang daw nilang Ika-5 Utos siya sinasaktan ni Jake at hindi sa tunay na buhay.
“Oo naman, I know. And I think one of my struggles talaga, kaya siguro nag-struggle talaga ako sa show na ito, honestly, is because for the longest time hindi ko nabalikan yung feeling na yun. And siguro nung una ayokong balikan, natatakot ako kasi it’s such a dark place to really go to,” dagdag pa ng dalaga.
“Actually I feel so relieved na I talked about it kasi it’s something that you know, I kept for the longest time. If my situation before and if my story will inspire someone, or will, you know, help someone go through it or get out of it, then I will do it,” aniya pa.
Speaking of Ika-5 Utos, sa trailer pa lang nito ay winner na agad sa manonood. Talagang lahat ng karakter ay palaban, lalo na ang tatlong bidang sina Gelli de Bellen, Valerie Concepcion at Jean Garcia.
Ibang level ng kabitan at ahasan ang kuwento ng serye sa direksyon ni Laurice Guillen. Magsisimula na ito sa Sept. 10 after Eat Bulaga sa GMA Afternoon Prime.
