TUMULAK na ngayong araw  si Pangulong Duterte papuntang Israel at Jordan para sa kanyang official visit mula Setyembre 2 hanggang Setyembre 8.

“I leave today for landmark visits that underscore our vision for our country – a responsible member of the world community – a Philippines that is a friend to all and an enemy to no one,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang talumpati bago lumipad papuntang Israel.

Tatagal ang kanyang pagdalaw sa Israel mula Setyembre 2 hanggang Setyembre 5.

“I don’t know if it is mentioned in the letter. We have about 28,000 Filipinos in Israel and there are 48,000 Filipinos in Jordan and you know, without mentioning anything, there’s a volatile situation there and we have to be sure that our citizens are fully protected,” dagdag ni Duterte.

Magsisimula naman ang kanyang pagbisita sa Jordan mula Setyembre 5 hanggang Setyembre 8.

“Upon the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II, I shall likewise undertake an Official Visit to the Kingdom of Jordan from September 5 to 8. The agenda is promising, as I seek to renew relations with a country and people which have the common aspirations,” ayon pa kay Duterte.

Sinabi pa ni Duterte na kasama niya sa delegasyon ang ilang negosyante mula sa bansa.

“With more than two million Filipinos [working] in that region, I intend to emphasize the great importance that the Philippines attaches to maintaining peace and stability in the region. In my meeting with the Filipino communities, I shall renew my pledge to do my utmost to bring the change we desire in our country, in ourselves as a people. I will ask them to continue to be our partners for growth, progress and change,” sabi pa ni Duterte.

Kabilang sa opisyal na delegasyon ni Duterte si Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, Agriculture Secretary Silvestre Bello III, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, Presidential Spokesperson Harryo Roque, Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino, Sen. Richard Gordon, Department of Interior and Local Government (DOILG) Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Eduard Año at Philippine Coast Guard Commandant Elson Hermogino.

Tatayo namang caretaker si Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
