SONA ni Du30 nabalam dahil sa kudeta sa Kamara; wala namang narinig na mura

NABALAM ng mahigit isang oras ang pagtatalumpati ni Pangulong Duterte para sa kanyang ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA) matapos magsimula ang kanyang speech ganap na alas-5:21 ng hapon imbes na  ang tradisyunal na alas-4 ng hapon matapos naman ang nangyaring kudeta sa liderato ng Kamara.

Bago mag-alas-4 ng hapon nang dumating si Duterte sa Batasan Pambansa Complex sakay ng kanyang chopper at sinalubong nina Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III at ang napatalsik na Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez at dumiretso sa holding area bago ang pagsisimula ng kanyang SONA.

Lumipas ang mahigit isang oras ay nanatili si Duterte sa loob at palaisipan kung sino kina Alvarez at ang iniluklok na bagong Speaker na si dating pangulo at Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang uupo para sa joint session.

Pasado alas-5 ng hapon nang lumabas na sina Sotto at Alvarez para umupo sa itaas ng rostrum habang hinihintay ang pagpasok ni Duterte.

Matapos ang pagkabalam ng SONA, natuloy din ang talumpati ni Duterte, kung saan inisa-isa muli niya ang kanyang mga prayoridad sa ilalim ng kanyang administrasyon kung saan una pa rin sa kanyang listahan ang gera kontra droga at ang pagbanat sa mga human rights group na kumukuwestiyon sa kanyang programa.

“Let me begin by putting it bluntly: the war against illegal drugs is far from over. Where before, the war resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs worth millions of pesos, today, they run [into] billions in peso value.

Idinagdag ni Duterte na droga pa rin ang magiging sentro ng kampanya ng kanyang administrasyon.

“This is why the illegal drugs war will not be sidelined. Instead, it will be as relentless and chilling, if you will, as on the day it began,” giit ni Duterte.

Kasabay nito, muling binatikos ni Duterte ang mga human rights groups na bumabatikos sa kampanya kontra droga.

“Sadly, I have yet to hear really howls of protest from the human rights advocates and church leaders against drug-lordism, drug dealing and drug pushing as forceful and vociferous as the ones directed against the alleged errant [law] enforcers in the fight against this social scourge. If you think that I can be dissuaded from continuing this fight because of [your] demonstrations, your protests, which I find, by the way, misdirected, then you got it all wrong,” dagdag ni Duterte.

 Sa kabila naman ng pagbanat ni Duterte sa mga human rights groups, napigilan naman ni Duterte ang pagmumura.

 “Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives. The lives of our youth are being wasted and families are destroyed, and all because of the chemicals called shabu, cocaine, cannabis, and heroine,” sabi ni Duterte.

Tiniyak din ni Duterte na magpapatuloy ang kampanya kontra kriminalidad.

Kasabay nito, siniguro rin ni Duterte na tuloy ang kanyang kampanya kontra katiwalian.

“The love of money is corrosive. And sadly, the desire to make the easy kind by being imaginative and manipulative, corrupts absolutely. Stolen wealth does not make the thief respectable. Neither will the trappings of wealth mask [nor] cap the stink that thievery exudes. One day, justice will catch up with those who steal government funds. And when that day comes, it will be the public who will have its retribution,” ayon pa kay Duterte.

Muli ring nagbanta si Duterte sa kanyang mga kaibigan at mga kapanalig na sangkot sa korupsyon.

“This is a lonely place I am hemmed in. Do not make it lonelier by forcing me to end our friendship because you gave me the reason to end it. It pains me to end — the loss of friendships. And that is why I appeal to you to help me in my cause so that our friendship will endure,” giit ni Duterte.

Nagbanta rin si Duterte sa mga sangkot sa pagtatago ng bigas na nagreresulta sa artipisyal na kakulangan ng bigas.

“I now ask all the rice hoarders, cartels and their protectors, you know that I know who you are: stop messing with the people. I hate to… Power sometimes is not a good thing. But I hope I will not have to use it against you. Consider yourselves warned; mend your ways now or the full force of the State shall be brought to bear upon you. I am directing all intelligence agencies to unmask the perpetrators of this economic sabotage and our law enforcement agencies to bring them to justice,” banta ni Duterte.

Sa kabuuan, tumagal lamang ng 47 minuto ang talumpati ni Duterte, pinamaiksi ito sa tatlong SONA ng pangulo, kumpara sa 90 minuto noong unang SONA at halos dalawang oras noong isang taon.

Umabot naman sa 34 ang palakpak para sa kanyang talumpati
