Walang Pinoy na nadamay sa magnitude 5.9 Japan quake- DFA
SINABI ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na wala itong natanggap na ulat na Pinoy na nadamay sa nangyaring magnitude 5.9 na lindol sa Japan.
Kasabay nito, nagpaabot ng pakikiramay sa Japan ang Pilipinas matapos tatlo ang nasawi, samantalang dose-dosena ang nasugatan sa nangyaring lindol.
“We express our condolences to the Government of Japan over the loss of lives in this morning’s earthquake in the Kansai Region. We hope and pray that loss of lives and damage to property would be minimal,” sabi ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter S. Cayetano.
Base sa pagtaya ng DFA, aabot sa 16,295 ang mga miyembro ng Filipino community sa Kansai region, na sinasabing sentro ng lindol.
Pinayuhan din ng Philippine Consulate General sa Osaka ang mga Pinoy na nasa Osaka, Hyogo, Nara, at Shiga na iwasan muna ang pagbiyahe at manatiling maging alerto sa posibleng aftershock.
