NAGBABALA ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa publiko laban sa mga nagpapanggap na mga lehitimong traffic enforcers para mangikil ng pera matapos naman ang reklamo ng isang motoristang nabiktima ng pekeng MMDA.
Nakilala lamang ang pekeng MMDA enforcer na isang “Traffic Constable III Gulong” matapos namang mag-isyu ng pekeng citation ticket kay Christopher Morante dahil sa reckless driving sa Edsa.
Bukod sa pinagmulta si Morante ng P2,000, kinumpiska rin ni Gulong ang driver’s license ni Morante.
“The agency does not have the motorist’s driver’s license. The person who apprehended him was not a legitimate traffic enforcer of the agency,” sabi ni MMDA acting general manager Jojo Garcia.
Sa kanyang reklamo, sinabi ni Morante na hindi siya nagduda sa enforcer dahil nakasuot ito ng uniporme ng MMDA.
“It is the responsibility of a traffic enforcer to carry his mission order at all times. If he does not bear his mission order, he is unauthorized to make apprehensions,” sabi ni Garcia.
