BANDERA “One on One”: Raymond Gutierrez

- November 23, 2009 - 02:20 PM

BANDERA: Ano’ng ginagawa mo kapag wala kang work?
RAYMOND GUTIERREZ (RG): Pag wala akong work? Well it’s funny because I don’t work only in television, I also work for a magazine, sa Preview magazine as a Society Editor. So, if I’m not busy with my TV work, I’m busy with my magazine work. If I have free time,. I’m usually out of the country, I travel, or I’m out with my friends.
B: Sa sobrang busy mo sa work, may time ka pang gumimik?
RG: I still go out with my friends, most of them are non-showbiz.
B: Kumusta ang relationship mo with your family?
RG: Okay naman. Actually, halos lahat kami sobrang busy talaga. Pero we make sure na once a week, magkikita-kita kami. Usually, kapag Sunday, after mass we have dinner at home. Yun na ‘yung bonding time namin together. I will have wine with my dad, with Chard (Richard Gutierrez), so, ‘yun na ‘yung bonding time namin. Kuwentuhan, tawanan.
Like this coming New Year, magbo-Boracay kaming pamilya.
RG: I’ve never been to Tokyo, that’s one city that I really want to visit, and I’m sure magugustuhan ko du’n. And next year, I plan to go to South America, sa Brazil, Argentina, Mexico. Yan ang mga traget ko next year. Hopefully, matuloy lahat.
B: Seryoso ka rin ba off-cam? Kasi sa TV parang sobrang seryoso mong tao?
RG: Off-cam, hindi naman. Mukha ba akong seryoso? I have to be taken seriously. Like sa Showbiz Central, malalaking issue sa show business ang nae-encounter namin every week, malalaking personalities, we’re talking about their personal lives, so I can’t naman be joking about that. Sa Starstruck naman, medyo serious din ‘yung attack ko du’n, kasi I talk about the tanggalan, the contestants’ emotions, so medyo seryoso rin ‘yung attack.
Pero I have my moments na nagpapatawa rin ako. Off-cam, I’m not that really serious, I’m very sarcastic, and people say I’m funny. Sarcasm can be funny.
RG: Siya. Nagpapatawa rin naman siya, pero most of the times, serious siya.
We say kung ano ang nasa puso namin, we’re not scared to voice out our opinion and ideas about something. Kung meron kaming mga suggestions, sinasabi namin.
B: Si Mommy pa rin ba yung may final say kapag may dapat desisyunan na isang bagay?
RG: Kami ni Chard, we’re both independent na, so they respect naman our decisions. I value their opinion, though.
B: Independent ka na ba?
RG: Financially. Actually, I lived alone for two years, but when my parents moved to Makati, I had a room in the house. Sabi ko, sige, du’n na lang muna ako. For the past how many months now, doon na ako nakatira kila Mommy. I lived alone for how many years, so try ko muna yung sa poder ng parents ko. It’s very refreshing to move back with my family. It’s very different.
I live kasi in the main house, so dinig ko lahat sa umaga. Hahahaha!
B: Mayaman ka na ba?
RG: You know what, I save naman talaga, pero kapag nakaka-save na ako, ayan na, plano na akong mag-travel. It’s really my luho. I wanna do it when I’m young. Like this year, I travelled a lot. But next year, pahinga muna, except for South America. Next year my goal is to save more.
RG: To lose weight again. Hahahaha! But honestly, sa showbiz, I’m sure that I can do a lot more. If I challenge myself a little bit more, I can probably broaden my horizon a bit more. Pero right now, with the rate things are going, I haven’t really focused on that.
I don’t know why. Pero sabi ko, gusto ko talaga horror.
B: May love life o sex life ka ba?
RG: I don’t want to talk about that in public.
