TUMANGGI nang magsalita si Sen. Leila de Lima sa naunang pag-amin na nagkaroon siya ng relasyon sa dating driver na si Ronnie Dayan, sa pagsasabing ito ay isang pribadong bagay.

“Ito lang ang masasabi ko, simple lang ang sagot ko ayaw ko sanang sagutin yan because I really don’t feel right engaging publicly about private matters,” sabi ni de Lima.

Ito’y matapos aminin ni de Lima sa isang programa na nagkaroon nga sila ng relasyon ni Dayan.

“Ito lang ang masasagot ko. My record as a public official, first as CHR (Commission on Human Rights) chair and next as Secretary of Justice speaks for itself. And my record and my reputation has been untarnished until now because of all these unjust and unfair false allegations, fabricated lies against my alleged involvement in the drug trade,” giit ni de Lima.

Kinontra rin ni de Lima ang pahayag ni Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II na lalakas ang mga kaso laban kay sa senador matapos ang pag-amin.

“No,” giit ni de Lima sa pagsasabing opinyon lamang ito ni Aguirre.

Nauna nang sinabi mismo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na si Dayan ang kumulekta ng payola para kay de Lima sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
