Richard Gomez idinawit sa drug group ni Espinosa
PINANGALANAN ng isang opisyal ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Eastern Visayas ang aktor-politician na si Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez na dawit umano sa drug group ni Kerwin Espinosa.
Lumutang ang pangalan ni Gomez, kasama ang iba pang opisyal sa Leyte matapos tanungin ni Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III kung bakit kinailangan ni Chief Insp. Leo Laraga ng CIDG Region 8 na magpaliwag kaugnay search warrant laban kay Espinosa.
“Sino sino ‘yung mga iniiwasan sa Leyte? Para maintindihan anong compelling reason para kumuha ng search warrant sa Samar?”tanong ni Sotto kay Laraga.
“OK, your honor. Allegedly ‘yung vice mayor ng Baybay City, governor ng Leyte, mayor ng Ormoc City and congressman of third district of Leyte so all of those courts that can be applied ay under po nung mga politicians,” dagdag ni Laraga.
Bukod kay Gomez, pinangalanan din sina Baybay Vice Mayor Mike Cari, Leyte Rep. Vicente “Ching” Veloso, isang appellate justice, at Leyte Governor Leopoldo Petilla.
“Based on your information, are they involved in the Espinosa drug group?” tanong ni Sotto kay Laraga.
