OF COURSE, wishing, hoping and praying ang sambayanang Filipino na maiuuwi ni Chelsea Manalo ang titulo at korona ng Miss Universe 2024.
Ngayong Linggo na (Manila time) magaganap ang pinakaaabangang grand coronation night ng naturang international beauty pageant sa Arena CDMX, Mexico City.
Bago pa man dumating ang judgment day ay talagang ibinabandera ng dalagang Bulakenya ang kanyang determinasyon na makuha ang ikalimang Miss Universe crown ng Pilipinas.

Sa kanyang Instagram account, nag-post si Chelsea ng ilang litrato with her white off-shoulder gown from JustBonita kung saan nabanggit niya ang nararamdamang excitement na kapareho nang na-feel niya during her Miss Universe Philippines journey.

“Back then, it was just me, my mom, and my dad—my team, my rock. They supported me every step of the way, and their love and encouragement were everything,” pahayag ng bet ng Pilipinas sa Miss Universe this year.
Pero pagkatapos daw niyang sumabak sa Miss Universe closed-door interview ay bigla nang nagbago ang kanyang pakiramdam pananaw mula nang magsimula siyang mag-training para sa finals night.
“I’m no longer just representing my family. I’m carrying the hopes and dreams of the entire Philippines with me.
“The pride I feel is immeasurable, and I’m ready to give it my all for my country. Let’s do this!” ang positibong mensahe pa ng dalaga.
Ang 25-year-old beauty queen mula sa Bulacan ang nagwagi sa Miss Universe Philippines 2024 noong May. Siya ang kauna-unahang Filipino-Black American candidate na nakakuha ng national title.
In fairness, hindi lang ang mga Pinoy pageant fans ang nagsasabing malakas ang powers ni Chelsea sa kumpetisyon kundi pati na rin ang ibang mga lahi, kabilang na ang international supermodel na si Tyra Banks.
Nauna nang ibinahagi ni Chelsea ang naging performance niya sa closed-door interview ng pageant with the selection committee.

“Enjoy ‘yung laban. I’m seeing the stars aligning. In a galaxy full of stars, it does shine. Pero ‘yung pinakamaliit na star, that is the star that will shine the most,” ang pahayag ng beauty queen.
Kung may strategy man daw na gagawin ang dalaga para sa judgment day, “To have a little bit more rest, to be more myself. I think kasi kung enjoy ka lang, happy ka naman, magre-reflect naman ‘yan until finals.
“This day, it came to the right time to do the closed-door interviews for the preliminaries. Sobrang exciting!” dagdag pa niya.
“Mga tinanong nila sa akin more on personal questions about who you are. They want to know your personality more than having that crown.
“I think it’s more than enough for them to know the power we have as Filipina women to finally win the next Miss Universe crown.
“Sobrang happy ko doon sa closed-door interview because they finally now know my personality, my character, and what my intentions are beyond the crown,” sey pa ni Chelsea.
