KINUMPIRMA na ni Filipino boxing superstar at Senador Manny Pacquiao na tuloy na ang kanyang pagbabalik sa ring at makakasagupa niya si World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight titleholder Jessie Vargas sa Nobyembre 5 sa Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Sinabi ni Pacquiao, na isang bagitong Senador, na ang laban ay naayos na matapos ang dalawang oras na pagpupulong kay Top Rank CEO at promoter Bob Arum noong Martes ng gabi sa Makati City.
“Yes, the fight is on. I have agreed to a Nov. 5 fight with reigning WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas,” sabi ni Pacquiao sa inilabas na pahayag nito kahapon. “Boxing is my passion. I miss what I’d been doing inside the gym and atop the ring.”
Gagawin naman ang training ni Pacquiao sa Pilipinas para makadalo pa rin siya sa mga sesyon ng Senado. Sa kasalukuyan ay hindi pa lumiliban sa Senado si Pacquiao magmula nang magbukas ito noong Hulyo 25 at malayo na ito sa kanyang madalas na pagliban noong siya ay kongresista ng Sarangani Province.
“My entire training camp will be held here in the Philippines so I can attend to my legislative works. This is my campaign promise and I’m determined to keep it,” sabi pa ni Pacquiao, na ang press tour para sa laban ay gaganapin sa Setyembre 8-10 sa Los Angeles.
