Trillanes napatunayan ng CA na guilty sa indirect contempt

NAPATUNAYAN ng Court of Appeals (CA) na guilty si Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV sa indirect contempt matapos ang kanyang alegasyon na sinuhulan umano ng na-dismiss na dating Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay ang mga justices ng P50 milyon para pigilan ang kanyang suspensyon na ipinalabas ng Office of the Ombudsman.
Sa 15-pahinang kautusan, inatasan ng CA si Trillanes na magbayad ng P30,000 sa loob ng 10 araw pagkatapos na matanggap ang desisyon.
Matatandaang inakusahan ni Trillanes sina Associate Justices Jose Reyes Jr. at Francisco Acosta ng pagtanggap ng tig-P25 milyon kapalit ng pagpapalabas ng temporary restraining order (TRO) na nagpapatigil sa suspension order ng Ombudsman kaugnay ng umano’y overpriced na Makati parking building.
“It is undisputed that respondent uttered malicious statements of bribery against the Court of Appeals and some of its justices,” sabi ng CA.
Bukod sa kasong contempt, naghain din si Binay ng libel laban kay Trillanes.
