Perjury vs ex-branch manager ng Landbank
Kinasuhan ng Office of the Ombudsman ng limang kaso ng perjury ang dating branch manager ng Sandbank na nagsinungaling umano sa kanyang Statement of Assets Liabilities and Networth.
Ayon sa Ombudsman hindi idineklara ni Artemio San Juan Jr., sa kanyang SALN mula 1999 hanggang 2003 ang kanyang business interest sa Julia Club and Restaurant Company, at ang kanyang deposito sa bangko na nagkakahalaga ng P9.1 milyon at P8.6 milyong halaga ng shares of stocks.
“By making wrongful declarations and omitting to declare his business interests, various bank accounts and shares of stocks that he owned for several consecutive years, the respondent did not submit a true detailed sworn statement of assets and sources of income,” saad ng resolusyon ng Ombudsman.
Sinabi ng Ombudsman na imposible na nakalimutan lamang ni San Juan ang mga ito lalo at ginawa niya ito ng maraming beses.
Ang SALN ay isang dokumento na sinusumpaan na totoo ang nakasaad.
