Matapos na ipasok ni Troy Rosario ang dalawa nitong free throws para maitabla ang iskor sa 97-all sa pagtatapos ng regulation time ay isang free throw lamang ang nagawa ng Tropang Texters sa overtime para mabigo sa ikatlong pagkakataon sa pitong laro.
Dahil sa kabiguang ito ay wala nang pag-asa pang magtapos ang Talk ‘N Text sa top two spots na may kaakibat na outright berth para sa Final Four bagaman pasok na ang Tropang Texters sa quarterfinal round.
Mahalaga naman para sa Barako Bull ang panalong ito para umangat sa puwesto sa pagpasok sa quarterfinal round.
“I think the No. 1 key for us was our sense of urgency (to win),” sabi ni Barako Bull coach Koy Banal.
“We have been talking about that even before the Rain or Shine (loss), our ability to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss to San Miguel. We didn’t have that against Rain or Shine but they (Energy) played with it this time.”
Bukod sa career game ni Wilson ay malaki rin ang naitulong ni RR Garcia na nagtapos na may 22 puntos para sa Barako Bull. Gayunman, hindi niya natapos ang laro dahil nagtamo siya ng injury sa balikat sa fourth quarter. —Inquirer
