Parangal sa SAF 44 wag nang bitinin

Ipinamamadali ng mga kongresista ang pagbibigay ng parangal sa 44 miyembro ng Special Action Force na nasawi sa Mamasapano incident.
Sinabi ni Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., na ang parangal ay dapat sabayan ng pagsasampa ng kaso laban sa mga pumatay sa kanila.
Ayon naman kay Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez ipinagmamalaki ng gobyerno ang pagkakapatay sa international terrorist na si Marwan kaya dapat lang na kilalanin ng mga ito kung sino ang gumawa ng misyon.
“Ipakita natin ang malasakit sa kanila. We must rally behind giving some, if not all SAF men the much delayed PNP Medal of Valor or Medalya ng Kagitingan especially to those who stood until their last breath,” ani Romualdez.
Para naman kay Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas hindi dapat mawala sa paglipas ng panahon ang sakripisyo ng mga nasawing SAF.
“The SAF members deserve the Medal of Valor. With this, they will indeed be remembered in history as heroes who offered their lives for good and country. The SAF killed Marwan no doubt about it,” ani Vargas.
Sa ilalim ng batas, ang mabibigyan ng Medal of Valor ay makatatanggap ng P20,000 kada buwan hanggang sa pumanaw ito.
Dahil namatay ang 44 miyembro ang kanilang pamilya ang makatatanggap nito hanggang sa panahon kung kailan dapat magreretiro ang nasawi.
Mula noong 1991, lima pa lamang ang nabibigyan ng gating award.
