“This is incredible and unforgiveable. OFWs all over the world are overwhelmed with disbelief and anger. OFWs are especially furious upon learning that no funds are allotted for the LAF in the 2016 budget when millions worth of taxes are being imposed on OFWs through various fees and exactions, such as the BOC’s scheme to tax balikbayan boxes, among others,” dagdag pa nito. “Does this mean that the LAF had been subjected to abuse and misuse at the expense of OFWs on death row and in jail?” ani Bragas-Regalado.
