DALAWANG tagahanga ang nagsampa ng kaso laban kay Manny Pacquiao at sa kanyang mga handlers sa isang federal court sa Las Vegas, Nevada.
Humihingi ng $5 milyon danyos ang dalawang plaintiffs na sina Staphane Vanel at Kami Rahbaran dahil sa pagbigo ni Pacquiao na ideklara ang kanyang injury sa kanang balikat bago mag-umpisa ang laban.
Ayon sa lawsuit, nadaya umano ang dalawa matapos na magbayad sila para manood ng laban ni Pacquiao kay Floyd Mayweather Jr. noong Linggo sa Las Vegas.
Kasama rin sa demanda sina Todd Duboef at Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions at ang adviser ni Pacquiao na si Michael Koncz. Binalewala naman ng Top Rank, na co-promoter ng Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, ang lawsuit at naniniwalang hindi uusad ang kaso.
“The allegations in this lawsuit are demonstrably false,” sabi ni Dan Petrocelli, ang abogado ng Top Rank. “There are documents that explicitly show the medications that Manny was using to treat his shoulder and it was fully disclosed with (USADA) United States Anti-Doping Agency, which we contacted for this fight,’’ aniya.
IKINAGALAK ni Manny Pacquiao ang balitang pumayag si Floyd Mayweather Jr. na muli silang magharap sa boxing ring.Pero mangyayari lang ito matapos na maka-recover si Pacquiao sa nakaamba niyang surgery para ayusin ang napunit niyang rotator cuff.
“I will fight him in a year after his surgery,” sabi ni Mayweather sa isang text message kay Stephen Smith ng ESPN. Hindi naman ito aatrasan ni Pacman.
“Rematch?,” Yes, we’re ready to fight,” sabi ni Pacquiao sa mga sportswriters at photographers na kanyang nakausap kahapon sa kanyang tahanan sa North Plymouth Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. “For now, however, my injury (right shoulder) has to heal first.’
Nakatakdang sumailalim sa operasyon si Pacquiao sa Lunes sa Los Angeles. “It will take from four to six months to return to normal,” dagdag ni Pacquiao.
Pagkatapos ng operasyon ay uuwi ng Pinas si Pacquiao ngunit kailangan niyang ipahinga ang balikat mula lima hanggang anim na linggo.
