Kumpirmado: OGIE ALCASID lumayas na sa GMA, soap opera ang unang proyekto sa TV5
Nagpaalam na officially si Ogie Alcasid sa GMA management. Pralala muna bago tsismis. The second PhilPop was wildly successful as it held its finals last Friday night sa Meralco Theater. Hosted by Ogie and TV5 princess Jasmine Curtis-Smith, “Dati”, ang kantang composed by Thyro and Yumi interpreted by Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos and Quest won the grand prize worth P1 million.
First and second runners up respectively are our favorites “Kung Di Man” by Johnroy Danao and interpreted by Ney Dimaculangan and “Pansamantagal” by Jungee Marcelo and interpreted by Sitti and Julianne Tarroja.
The first runner up won P500,000 and the second runner up got P250,000. Now going back to Ogie, very confident, delightful and yes, at home ang hosting niya that night specially with wife Regine Velasquez who was also there to open the show with Martin Nievera.
We were told kasi that he has finally said his goodbye formally to the GMA bosses last Thursday so kami ang unang magsusulat ng with confirmation and finality that Ogie is really moving to TV5 next month.
Expect TV5 to be his concert’s media partner na rin this Aug. 16 sa SM Mall of Asia Arena and here’s another scoop, Ogie’s first Kapatid show is a soap opera
