LEA Salonga fumed at one call center staff dahil hindi niya maintindihan ang message nito.

Outspoken that she is, Lea had this message posted on her Twitter account: “Dear call center phone reps leaving messages for your customers, PLEASE ENUNCIATE! One such rep left a message that I could not, for the life of me, understand. Words were chewed up and garbled. Clarity is everything.

Thank you.”

Ang daming nag-react sa hanash ni Lea.

“Most if not all call centers train their reps to speak with an American accent so not their fault they try to ‘sound American’. But yes, they must speak clearly and not chew their words.”

“Protocol din kasi sa call center na to sound American kaya they are just following it and obviously may sasablay dahil Pinoy tayo at hindi Kano. Kaya very nitpicking lang ang rant ng hambog na si tita Leah with an H.”

“I guess what she’s trying to say is, speak clearly. No need to have the American accent, just speak clear and coherent.”
